Monday evening: the Adams House in Louisville

Whoowie. Three brewskis at Margot’s house and I feel some sort of a buzz. A quick update won’t hurt. All of Margot’s family members were lovely, and they welcomed us with a tasty barbeque in Louisville. Not too long ago at Swat we were hanging out at Sharples and Margot introduced us to dipping strawberries into sour cream and brown sugar. At first I was skeptical, too. How could one enjoy sour cream without a steamy potato out of the oven? The funny thing is it took a few negative responses from my friends to make me feel the urge to try it. To my surprise it was quite tasty and I liked it. I noticed the three ingredients on the table as we were eating and I was the first to pluck a strawberry in order to do what needed to be done. Margot and I pled our case until Sam and Mr. Adams were the only ones left at the table to not try it. Mr. Adams agreed to try it as long as Mr. Adam’s tried it at the same time. Margot didn’t waste a second to get the two strawberries dipped in the sour cream and brown sugar and make the offer. Watching the two put up a struggle like babies almost brought tears of laughter. Lucky for us they enjoyed it and Mr. Adam’s only response was that it was too sweet. Sometimes I feel that way about Margot, as if someone can be too sweet. They could make a movie entitled, “There’s something about Margot,” that would probably sell to a few Swatties because I imagine others would say the same.
